25 May 2006

Morag Hutcheon Design Director of Quadro, the new product design agency, spoke this week (Tuesday) at the Women in Business International conference staged at the DTI Conference Centre in London. The event attracted women from all over the world to listen, discuss and debate the 'Sharing of Knowledge and Skills in a Global Economy'. It ran over two days including a regional visit by delegates to Leeds. It was organised in association with Commonwealth Business Council, Wales Trade International and UK Trade & Investment. Keynote speakers included DTI Minister of State, Rt Hon Margaret Hodge MBE MP, Christine McCafferty MP, Parliamentary Patron, Women in Business and Nicola Horlick, CEO Bramdean

Morag delivered her key message about creativity and the development of her Award winning pre.vu product in a 'Business Gurus' session. The presentation showed the process of converting an idea into a mass produced product with the emphasis on thorough consumer research and the struggle to raise the level of funding to do a proper job!

Creativity was truly demonstrated with the 'wow' response from the audience when pre.vu in its several different applications was demonstrated. She emphasized that today pure functionality is not enough to sell a product - it has to have a real emotional content that consumers identify with - the pre.vu technology solution provides that emotion.

The next Women in Business event is in November 2006 in Kuwait.
