Quadro Director wins Female Inventor of the Year Awards
23 February 2006Morag Hutcheon, the inventor of pre.vu, , the new, soon-to-be-launched CD packaging technology that allows samples of music to be played directly through a speaker integrated into a standard CD jewel case, has won two major awards at the highly prestigious British Female Inventor & Innovator of The Year (BFIIN) Forum and Awards which took place on Tuesday at The Guildhall, London EC1.
Morag Hutcheon won the top award 'Female Inventor of The Year' as well as the 'Product Development of The Year' prize.
Although originally developed with the music industry in mind, Origgio Ltd - set up by Quadro to incubate pre.vu - have also identified a number of other industries which will derive great benefits from the pre.vu system. Strong interest has already been registered from a number of record companies, supermarkets, florists and gift retailers, mobile network providers and greetings cards manufacturers, among others.
Morag Hutcheon said, 'The beauty of the pre.vu system is that it is very flexible and can be easily adapted to the bespoke needs of the customer. Usability is the key even though the back end technology is sophisticated.
'pre.vu enables companies to interact directly with their customers and for their customers to interact with their friends and families. The system works both on a pure marketing level or as a direct message delivery device. The interest from a wide range of industry sectors has already been phenomenal!'
pre.vu is now market-ready and Origgio Ltd will be announcing a number of major customers in the near future.
